TUTORIAL // Cleaning Make Up Brushes & Beauty Blender

Hello hello!

I’ve been wanting to do this post since forever but I alwaaaays forgotten to do it. Oh well. And since now I have bought a phone holder, so it makes it easier for me to take pictures/videos for a blogpost. So for me, it’s like a tripod. Kinda.

So few days ago I went online to a beauty forum and saw a user said that she just bought her Beauty Blender a month ago and now it’s destroyed. Like, the BB has tiny black spots, it crumbles a bit etc. So I thought, why not make a blogpost on cleaning brushes and BB too? Since my first BB lasted almost a year and just about a month ago I tossed the old one and get a new BB.

HAUL // Collective Haul (January-March 2015)

Hello Hello!

You might think I haven’t hauled things for awhile but y’all are soooo wrong! I plead guilty of hauling quite a number of stuff since earlier this year. God knows how much I’ve spent. Anyways, let’s get on to it!

TAG // The Beauty Scenario Tag

Hello Hello!

I was browsing online and bored of doing nothing so I decided to play a TAG that’s been around and played a lot by many Youtubers. Because I don’t have the guts to film a video, therefore I shall do it here! Let’s start!

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

♥ For High End, I’d go for my Dior Star Foundation because it’s long-wearing and dubbed ‘The Best Selfie Foundation’ by Wayne Goss! Oh and plus, it is a total match to my skin! For drugstore, it’s tough because I don’t own much of drugstore foundation, but I’d go for the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation just because it has decent coverage and stays quite a long time too.

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

♥ I’d save her from embarrassment, I’d told her like, “umm Miss/Ma’am, just letting you know, you got a lipstick stain on your teeth!”

3. You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

♥ I’d wear my Guerlain Rouge G in Rouge Parade (820)!!! Red will forever be a great pick me up!

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

♥ I WOULDN’T HAVE ASKED THE HAIRDRESSER TO MAKE MY HAIR THINNER! OH GOD. WORST MISTAKE EVER. And if makeup, I’d explore and learn more about make up

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.

♥ I’d smile, say thank you and leave with emo face. Because I’m not a loud person! I don’t really the complaining type of person. I’d just drown myself in misery and hope that my hair will grow back faster. LOL

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which ‘do it all’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

♥ Uhhhh. I’d say, my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. Just because it has mattes and shimmers all in one palette. So I can use it if I go for a night out or dinner or other fun stuffs.

7. Your house has been robbed, don’t worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What’s the product you really hope is safe?

♥ I hope my eyebrow pencil is safe!!! LOLOLOLOL But seriously though, I can’t do shiz without my eyebrows looking nais.

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs

♥ I’d ask them what they’ve done to it until it came back to me in such awful condition. I’d ask them to repurchase if I feel it’s too much (as if, too painful to see its condition)

Okay! So that’s all of it! Kinda fun I guess… Will do more of these tags soon!!

P.S you who are reading this and have a blog, DO THE TAG! and share it to me! 😀

REVIEW // YSL Le Teint Encre De Peau (Fusion Ink Foundation)

Hello hello!

Sorry for the long absent here! I’ve been busy and got caught up with some college stuff this past few weeks. As usual. On a happier note, I can now dedicate my time to blogging more stuff! Hip hip horray!! Okay enough blabbering, let’s get on to the topic here.

YSL Le Teint Encre De Peau has been the talk of the town for awhile since its launch last year due to its incredibly satin smooth and lightweight texture, and to my knowledge, YSL doesn’t have any counter here in Malaysia but what I heard is that YSL is planning to open one this year but I’m still doubting it. However, they do have one counter in the KLIA duty free shop, but when I travelled back to Jakarta last December, I was told that the Fusion Ink Foundation was supposed to be launched somewhere in 2015. So let’s hope my fellow make up lovers in Malaysia will be able to grab one soon. Anyways, I was lucky enough to get my friend to grab it whilst he was in Europe.

REVIEW // Guerlain Météorites Perles De Blush Angelic Radiance (Spring 2015 Collection “Les Tendres”)

Hello hello! I know there has been a lot of posts, whether it be on Instagram or on the blogosphere, about this tiny colored pearls. But I just had to pour out my thoughts on the Guerlain Météorites Perles De Blush Angelic Radiance. It’s part of the Spring 2015 Collection titled, “Les Tendres”. It was released in Malaysia about 2 weeks ago and Isetan KLCC was the first to house it. And from what I heard from people who have bought the Météorites blush, they are not happy with what they’re getting as it’s also quite pricey (around the same price like the normal Météorites). They thought that the packaging was … blah. All because Guerlain decided to go back to the old cardboard packaging. And not to mention it’s also a lot smaller than the normal Météorites packaging. But then again, it’s a limited edition item, for people who are crazy about their balls, umm Météorites i mean, and who are a makeup collector, this item is a must buy.

What They Say :

♥ Météorites Perles de Blush, the celestial accomplice of the divine Météorites, infuses cheeks with soft, evanescent pink. A magical blush that recreates the glow of a complexion bathed in springtime freshness: this is the exceptional promise of Météorites Perles de Blush, a small technological wonder, a hybrid blush that combines color, freshness and radiance.

♥ A harmony of 3 pearls: a fuchsia that revives the natural color of the cheeks, an iridescent champagne that illuminates the curve of the cheekbones and a rose petal pink that gently refreshes the complexion.

♥ These charming mini Météorites pearls embellish the complexion with the sheerest touch. In a swish of the brush, the three shades blend together and become one on the skin, diffusing a unique glow for cheekbones infused with radiance. The guarantee of an angelic complexion in one stroke!

♥ A delicate violet fragrance, inimitable and totally addictive

♥ Use the Pinceau Météorites to take the right measure of powder. Apply the powder on the cheeks to reveal the angelic radiance of your complexion.

REVIEW // Stila One Step Corrector

Hello hello!

For the past month, I’ve been contemplating if I should get a make up primer. I bought Benefit Porefessional few months ago but it was okay I guess as I don’t have much problem with big pores and such so I’d just use it occasionally or if my skin needs an extra covering with the pores. I’ve seen shaaanxo (youtuber) rave about this particular Stila primer but I wasn’t convinced yet. Until…. I finally realized how much I hate it when my make up cracks or separating around my chin area. So I took the plunge and grab the Stila One Step Corrector. Although Stila calls it to be a corrector, but they also claim that it can also be used as primer, color-corrector, brightener and anti-aging serum! Phew! That’s  A LOT of claims. Well, as seen as the information at Stila’s website that is.

What They Say :

♥ Swirl your way to perfect skin in one step! This innovative, triple-swirled helix serum instantly color-corrects, brightens and covers skin imperfections for a flawless face with no fuss.

♥ This primer, color-corrector, brightener and anti-aging skincare serum does it all with the help of Stila’s Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex™:

→ Magician- Instantly makes imperfections disappear

→ Multi-tasker – Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, pores and pigmentation

→ Miracle Worker- Hydrates, controls oil and improves skin texture

♥ The revolutionary new product contains 3 color-correcting brighteners:

→ Green tone instantly neutralizes redness and conceals blemishes

→ Lavender tone counteracts sallow undertones for a vibrant, energized look

→ Peach tone brightens, illuminates and helps diminish the appearance of sun spots

♥ The weightless, creamy formula blends imperceptibly into skin and won’t clog pores or settle into fine lines… so all anyone will notice is your perfectly flawless skin!

REVIEW // Guerlain Poudre De Soie (Satin Illuminating Powder) Highlighter – Spring 2015 Asia/Middle East Exclusive

Hello hello!

So last week I posted a picture of Guerlain’s new release, which is the Poudre De Soie highlighter in my Instagram. I first saw this item also in Instagram from a user in the Middle East. She said that it was a Middle East exclusive item. And I thought it wouldn’t come to Asia. But boy, I was so wrong! Then a few weeks later, I saw another Instagram post by Mymakeuporganizer, my oh so reliable source for everything makeup. She posted that Guerlain’s 2015 Spring ‘Les Tendres’ collection is out in Malaysia. And I saw in her post what looks to be the highlighter but I only can recognize it by the cover of the item as it was plain white-cream-ish color. And few days later I went to Isetan KLCC to check it out, and not to my surprise, the BA told me that they only had very limited stocks of it in store (4 pieces left). So without any hesitation, I grabbed the highlighter. As I thought I would skip on the Meteorites Baby Glow and the Meteorites Compact Powder because those two are permanent item, so I can get them some other time. And the Meteorites blush, I didn’t get it that time. But I still want it. So hopefully it’s still available when I wanna get it.

Okay, so moving on to the review. I didn’t see much posts of this particular item in the blogosphere and there’s no information on this item in Guerlain’s website. So I don’t know what are their claims on this highlighter.
