REVIEW // YSL Le Teint Encre De Peau (Fusion Ink Foundation)

Hello hello!

Sorry for the long absent here! I’ve been busy and got caught up with some college stuff this past few weeks. As usual. On a happier note, I can now dedicate my time to blogging more stuff! Hip hip horray!! Okay enough blabbering, let’s get on to the topic here.

YSL Le Teint Encre De Peau has been the talk of the town for awhile since its launch last year due to its incredibly satin smooth and lightweight texture, and to my knowledge, YSL doesn’t have any counter here in Malaysia but what I heard is that YSL is planning to open one this year but I’m still doubting it. However, they do have one counter in the KLIA duty free shop, but when I travelled back to Jakarta last December, I was told that the Fusion Ink Foundation was supposed to be launched somewhere in 2015. So let’s hope my fellow make up lovers in Malaysia will be able to grab one soon. Anyways, I was lucky enough to get my friend to grab it whilst he was in Europe.

What They Say :

♥ FEELS LIKE A FEATHER. WEARS LIKE AN INK. NO MORE COMPROMISE.

♥ 24 hours of soft-matte perfection and comfort. Our exclusive fine-as-ink formula perfects the skin yet wears weightlessly all day. Never cakey or heavy. Feel the difference of all day perfection and freedom.

♥ SPF 18.

♥ Shake well, Wipe off excess on the side of the bottle, Zone the face with swipes of the Applicator, Blend formula with fingers for precise and effortless one-dose application.

What I Say :

♥ IT FEELS LIKE I’M SLATHERING SATIN ALL OVER MY FACE. No, seriously. I applied one side with my fingertips and another with a stippling brush. Both sides feels so freaking smooth. No joke! Although I need to re-blend it using my trusty Beauty Blender to smoothen it out because both my fingertips and the stippling brush creates a streaky surface

♥ The foundation sets rather quickly but still gives you some time to blend it

♥ It has a very liquid-y texture, hence the remarks to shake the bottle well

♥ It gives a nice satin finish to the skin and it is super lightweight thus no cakey feeling.

♥ Gives a light to medium coverage, it performs best when you have a clear skin as it doesn’t cover acne so much. As currently I’m having a ‘good skin period’ the foundation does cover up quite well (redness and fading acne scar)

♥ It clings on to dry patches although doesn’t really make your face looks dry (if that makes sense)

♥ Powdering is not necessary. I only powdered under my eyes. Although blotting does the job when it starts to get oily.

♥ May have oxidized just a tiny bit but it still matches my skin tone very well

♥ Makes contouring and highlighting easier as products glides easily on top of the foundation

♥ I didn’t wore it for 24 hours but I did test it out for a good 10 hours. And hitting the 10 hour mark, my face starts to look slightly oily around my T-Zone

♥ Have the same shade range as other YSL foundations (e.g Le Teint Touche Eclat and Youth Liberator serum) but IMO the Fusion Ink Foundation shades leans more to the warmer side for the B (Beige) range.

Tp YSL emang berasa Lebih ringan Dan Lebih ‘forgiving’ Kalo dipake ama ppl with normal to dry skin jg.. Aku sih Lebih milih GALS ya hehe coba kamu pakein primer dulu deh biar ada barrier Antara kulit Dan foundation jadi ga breakout

    • Personally aku lebih suka GALS since I have dry-normal skin daripada dior star, dior star lebih cocok ke combination skin ya.. Finishingnya juga lain2. GALS of course lebih dewy and luminous, sementara Dior Star more to semi-matte finish..
