REVIEW // Morphe Brushes 35T Taupe Pro Palette

Hello Hello! It seems like I haven’t been reviewing eyeshadow palette for a while now. Well here ya go!

Morphe Brushes has been a household name for quite sometime now thanks to the big youtuber out there who has been raving about the brand (and get paid, let’s get real ok). And it gets me curious on what’s the hype all about. Loads of them said that it’s uber pigmented and you get more bang for your bucks as you get 35 shadows with only $22.99 (RM 130-170, depending on from which online seller you buy it) for the whole palette. Well the price point is truly right as it’s very affordable as opposed to say, Urban Decay’s Naked Palette which is now RM 215 (SAY WHAT?!). Well without any further adieu, let’s get on to the review, shall we? 🙂

Packaging; It definitely looks cheap with that black plastic casing and it has no mirror inside. And by the looks of it, not travel friendly either. Unless you put it in a carry on where you know you won’t damage the palette. But with that price tag, what sort of packaging you demand anyways? The pigmentation of the shadows are more important people!

Moving on to the formulation and pigmentation of these oh-so-affordable shadows, most of the shimmery shades I LOVE, but the mattes, not so much. As you can see in the swatches below, the matte shades does tend to show a bit patchy and the texture itself is quite chalky. But nevertheless it still is quite blendable. The shimmery shades are my jam! They are so so so pigmented. The swatches are done with no primer and applied with finger. I did try to swatch it using a shader brush but it doesn’t show up as pigmented if I were to use my fingers. So application wise, go for your trusty fingers to apply the shimmery shades and stick with your brush for the mattes.

♣ Not enough transition and highlight shades

♣ Packaging looks cheap and feels fragile- then again, for the price I paid, can’t complain much
