REVIEW // Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip

Hello hello! I know there must be a LOT of review posts of this Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip Liquid Lipsticks by other blogger but if you do stay around with me then.. *kiss kiss* THANK YOU! I lub yu ♥

Again with the liquid lipstick hype, comes Colourpop Cosmetics’ Ultra Matte Lip collection. It’s been out in the market for quite a while now and it’s getting a wholelotta’ love especially since it’s soooo affordable ($6) in contrast to the market price of most mid to high end liquid lipsticks ($19-20).

For the Ultra Matte Lip (UML) liquid lipsticks, Colourpop provides a wide array of shades ranging from nudes to deep dark vampy shades (which is now all the hype!)

REVIEW // Morphe Brushes 35T Taupe Pro Palette

Hello Hello! It seems like I haven’t been reviewing eyeshadow palette for a while now. Well here ya go!

Morphe Brushes has been a household name for quite sometime now thanks to the big youtuber out there who has been raving about the brand (and get paid, let’s get real ok). And it gets me curious on what’s the hype all about. Loads of them said that it’s uber pigmented and you get more bang for your bucks as you get 35 shadows with only $22.99 (RM 130-170, depending on from which online seller you buy it) for the whole palette. Well the price point is truly right as it’s very affordable as opposed to say, Urban Decay’s Naked Palette which is now RM 215 (SAY WHAT?!). Well without any further adieu, let’s get on to the review, shall we? 🙂

REVIEW // My Colourpop Eyeshadow & Super Shock Cheek collections!

Hello hello!

Please bear with me as this moment I’m too caught up with work. YES. WORK. So I’ve been absent from blogging for about a month now? SO SOWWYY! ><

Moving on.. Following to the hype of Colourpop products, I’ve been intrigued by their eyes & cheeks products as they’re cream-based products which is in my opinion, most time-efficient product for times when you’re in a rush and just wanna slap on some makeup. I have to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the super shock cheek products (blushes/highlighters/bronzers) as they’re long-lasting, pigmented and most importantly, affordable. It’s only RM 43/pop (when Ringgit Malaysia was still at 3.50). However, their eyeshadow, I’m not too crazy about them. Most people said that the eyeshadows are in some kind of a moussy-gel like form, which is interesting. And most of their eyeshadows are glittery/shimmery, but even then, I found that some of the glittery eyeshadow texture is a bit rough and doesn’t apply so smoothly as there are chunks of glitter in it. But the color payoff is amazeballs!

REVIEW // LA Girl Matte Flat Finish Lip Gloss

Hello hello!

Makeup trend nowadays are all about liquid lipsticks that dries matte. So many cosmetics companies are making this product, be it from high-end brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced and Kat Von D to drugstore brands like Rimmel, LA Girl and Colourpop. The idea of liquid lipsticks basically just, well, lipstick formula liquified. Most of the liquid lipsticks out there have matte finishes just because matte formulas lasts longer throughout the day so less touch-ups are needed, however there are also metallic and satin finishes like the Melted Lipsticks from Too Faced.

But today, I’m gonna be talking about drugstore brand everyone in Instagram have been raving about, LA Girl. This brand was famed for their HD Concealer which some claims a dupe for MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer. I’ve zero ideas why they put the word ‘matte’ and ‘gloss’ in one sentence, coz to me it doesn’t sound logical. How could you be a lip ‘gloss’ when you have a matte finish? Someone enlighten me that their definition of lip gloss might be that it glides on smoothly on the lips. Oh well then that does makes a little bit more sense. Carry on.

BEAUTY 101 // Makeup Primer :: Flawless Face Essential ?

Hello Hello

DISCLAIMER : This is my personal opinion and from what I understand about makeup. May not be 100% correct. I am merely sharing information.

I wanted to write a new topic here on my blog. Just because I thought some of you who are reading this are new to makeup or doesn’t wear much makeup but wonders how to properly doll up yourself. I’m not gonna talk about skincare because different people has different skincare regime, so you do you, whatever suits your skin.

Now, Let’s talk about primer. Do you prime your face prior to applying makeup? Or do you just slap it on right after your skincare? Is primer that important? Do you really need a primer to get a flawless makeup? But wait, what is a primer, you say? Well let me explain to you, my friend. A make up primer is a base for your foundation or better yet, a base for your makeup. Primer helps your makeup to last longer and make your makeup application goes on more smoothly. It acts as a barrier between your skin and your makeup. It also helps to prevent breakouts that sometimes a makeup ingredient can do to your skin. For example, some people I know complains that certain products gave them breakouts (redness, acne, etc) and asked me what products is best for them that doesn’t make their skin breakout. I’d normally say it’s not about which products to use, it’s about how you tackle the problem. I’d told them that maybe you should use primer (if you haven’t) that suits to your skin type in order to prevent breakouts. Why? Well the primer as I said before, it acts like a barrier, so your makeup lays on top of the primer instead of directly seeping into your pores, which normally can cause breakouts.
